Background

As part of the academic curriculum for PG Diploma and MSc in Food Safety & Quality Management (FSQM), a 1 day industrial visit was organized for enrolled learners of IGNOU Study Centre 49041P (CCER @Envirocare Labs) to Vista Processed Foods Pvt. Ltd., Taloja on 10th May 2025. The purpose of the visit was to provide students with practical exposure to industrial practices in food safety, processing, and quality management.

Objective

The visit aims to observe real-time application of food safety systems like GMP, GHP, and HACCP, and to connect theoretical knowledge with industry practices through expert interaction

  • To understand the practical applications of food safety and quality management systems in a real-time food processing environment.
  • To observe the implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Hygiene Practices (GHP), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).
  • To bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and industrial practices
  • To interact with professionals and understand industry expectations from trained food safety personnel.
